The Diller-Odell Griffin will head out on the road to take on the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Exeter-Milligan/Friend took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Diller-Odell, who comes in off a win.
Diller-Odell can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 56-27 victory over Falls City at home. Diller-Odell pushed the score to 51-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Falls City cut but never quite recovered from.
Diller-Odell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Myleigh Weers, who scored 20 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Weers has scored at least a third of Diller-Odell's points. Keira Hennerberg was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Exeter-Milligan/Friend's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 63-46 bruising from McCool Junction. While losing is never fun, Exeter-Milligan/Friend can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while McCool Junction is ranked 48th).
The victory makes it two in a row for Diller-Odell and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
