TJ Charbono spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Farmington on Wednesday, taking the game 9-4. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Logan Summers and Grady Howe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Summers pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Howe tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Summers went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Howe went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Brayden Leland was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cai Summers, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Having lost for the first time this season, Concord Christian fell to 6-1. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
