Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mt. Pleasant beat Capuchino 49-45. The win was just what Mt. Pleasant needed coming off of a 59-29 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mt. Pleasant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dareuis Williams , who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Galey, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-38, which was the final score in Lincoln's tilt against Evergreen Valley on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lincoln in their matchups with Evergreen Valley: they've now lost seven in a row.
The victory got Mt. Pleasant back to even at 4-4. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-4.
