After losing to Varnado the last time they met, Pine decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Pine made easy work of Varnado on Friday and carried off a 30-6 win. Pine were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. The matchup brought Pine to 2-0 and dropped Varnado to a mirror-image 0-2.
Pine will stay at home next week against Pearl River at 7:00 PM. Varnado looks to establish their home field advantage as they take on St. Helena College and Career Academy at 7:00 PM.
