Section 3 Class B - West recap Oct. 9, 2012
Chittenango extended the longest winning streak in Section 3 Class B - West this week by beating East Syracuse-Minoa, 27-26. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Bears.
Chittenango and the Spartans played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Chittenango eventually emerging with a 27-26 victory.
Homer's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Casey Cleary has thrown for 197 yards this season, while Payten Boice has seven catches for 90 yards. Mark Dove leads the league in rushing with 446 yards.
A big matchup in Section 3 Class B - West this week will be when Cortland takes on Jack Hayes' team. The Purple Tigers are currently in third, while the Bears are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Cortland takes on Chittenango. David Darrow's team has allowed 60 points this season, while the Bears have given up 52. The Purple Tigers allowed 7 points last week as they bested Marcellus.
