Eastern Coteau (9 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012
Clark/Willow Lake extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) this week by beating Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah], 41-34. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Waverly/South Shore led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on St. Mary. Sam Pond threw for 178 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 62 yards in the win.
Mason Leiseth was the best wideout in the league this week as Hamlin lost to Arlington. Leiseth racked up five receptions for 113 yards. Austin Nieman helped Hamlin's passing attack out by catching four balls for 94 yards.
Dylan Lick threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns. He was 12-18 with one interceptions.
Gavin Kolden was the most productive running back in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) this week. He ran for 92 yards on eight carries as the Coyotes fell to the Cardinals.
Brody Grantham provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Hamlin fell to Arlington. He completed 12 passes for 254 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 42 yards.
Alex Holzwarth made the biggest impact on defense this week as Jeff Sheehan's team lost to Steve Gilbertson's team. The 6-foot-1 junior racked up one sack.
Wilmot's Austin Hulscher and Landon Hammer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hulscher has thrown for 1900 yards this season, while Hammer, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 50 catches for 1019 yards. Dustin Quiram from the Chargers leads the league in rushing with 1147 yards.
Dexter Lick has rushed for 919 yards on 124 carries so far this year.
