Eureka can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 victory over Flinthills. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Eureka has managed all season.
Independent's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Eureka, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.
