Idea is 2-7 against DC International since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Idea Timberwolves will head out to challenge the DC International Dragons at 6:30 p.m. Idea is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.
Last Friday, Idea came up short against Washington Leadership Academy and fell 64-51.

Despite the loss, Idea had strong showings from Kaidyn Lewis, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points along with six steals and five boards, and Sidy Koite, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five blocks. Idea is 2-1 when Lewis posts five or more steals, but 9-13 otherwise. Tobias Hammett was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, DC International faced SEED DC in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, DC International made off with a 67-66 win over SEED DC. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with SEED DC: they've now won three in a row.
DC International's win came from a few key players Idea will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gavin Moore, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kai Hegwood, who made all 7 shots he took racking up 15 points along with eight boards and five blocks.
DC International pushed their record up to 16-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Idea, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Idea has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26 rebounds per game. However, it's not like DC International struggles in that department as they've been averaging 22.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Idea was dealt a bruising 70-33 loss at the hands of DC International when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Idea avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
