The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged Lincoln Academy out 67-65. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Oceanside has scored all year.
Oceanside had a senior duo take command as Cohen Galley scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and Carter Galley scored 23 points along with four steals. Galley is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Ben Tripp was another key contributor, scoring no points along with four steals.
Oceanside's win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Lincoln Academy, their defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Oceanside will head out on the road to challenge Medomak Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Medomak Valley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games. As for Lincoln Academy, they will be playing at home against Maine Central Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Maine Central Institute will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Lincoln Academy is ranked 27th).
