The Newton HomeSchool Panthers's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 30-22. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Newton HomeSchool also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Newton HomeSchool found their leader in underclassman Lila Busenitz, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Hoelscher, who scored four points along with three steals.
Newton HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they dropped their record down to 116-409 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton HomeSchool will stay at home for another game and welcome the at 2:00 p.m. on February 10th. As for Varsity Opponent, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rangers at 4:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
