The Del Rio Rams will head out to take on the Medina Valley Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Del Rio sitting on three straight wins and Medina Valley on five.
Del Rio had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt United South on Friday. The Rams blew past the Panthers 9-2. The Rams not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st.

Karina Limon made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Janiah Ross, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Aubany DeLaO was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Del Rio kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Wednesday. Medina Valley put the hurt on United South with a sharp 21-3 victory. The result was nothing new for Medina Valley, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Kylah Martinez looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Medina Valley let Avery Nash and Kynlee Crisp run wild. Nash went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Crisp went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Crisp hit this season. Another player making a difference was Madison Camacho, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Medina Valley pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Del Rio, their record now sits at 8-19.
Del Rio might still be hurting after the 9-2 loss they got from Medina Valley in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
