The Spencer Greenwave can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northeast 68-30 at home. Winning may never get old, but Spencer sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Spencer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexandria Berk, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and three steals. Berk hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Naomi Berk, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Nyla Howard and Destinee Waller certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Howard scored eight points, while Waller scored no points.
Spencer has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Northeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer will take on the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southwest is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Northeast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
