Lockport won against Stagg  on Thursday with nine  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Porters walked away with  a   9-5  victory over the Morris Redskins. The  win was familiar territory for the Porters, who have now won three  contests in a row.
 Joey DalPonte looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate,  Nick Moerman was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Adam Kozak, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
Lockport's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-5. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Morris,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games  and leaves them with a 12-6 record.
 Looking ahead, Lockport will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Morris, they will take on Rochelle at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
