The Idea Academy Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Vanguard Academy Mozart 53-14 at home. Winning may never get old, but Idea Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Layla Perez was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 24 points, ten rebounds, and 16 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Idea Academy's points. Another player making a difference was America Cortez, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and eight steals.
Idea Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Vanguard Academy Mozart, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Idea Academy will head out on the road to face off against Vanguard Academy Rembrandt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vanguard Academy Mozart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
