The Moanalua Menehune can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Roosevelt by a score of 65-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Moanalua can attribute much of their success to Gavin Pommerenk, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Kimbrough, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Moanalua's win bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
Moanalua will head out on the road to square off against Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kaiser is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home. Roosevelt will take on Kalaheo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
