The Africentric Early College Nubians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 53-43 to Trinity. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Africentric Early College has scored all season.
It was another big night for Cooper Hughes, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds for Trinity. That's the first time this season that Hughes scored 15 or more points. Dante Kimble III was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Africentric Early College has fallen quite a ways from their 23-6 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Trinity, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.
Africentric Early College will be home for the holidays to greet Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against Mars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
