Littlestown is 8-1 against Fairfield since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Thunderbolts will host the Knights at 4:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
If Littlestown beats Fairfield with 15 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Thunderbolts were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over York Catholic on Wednesday. Considering the Thunderbolts have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Maddy Dubbert looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Libby Brown was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sarah Loveless, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Littlestown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Fairfield fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Delone Catholic on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Squires by a score of 11-10. The Knights have struggled against the Squires recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Reese Sweeney and Kaylee Stone stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sweeney got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Stone went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Littlestown is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Littlestown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .431. However, it's not like Fairfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Littlestown took their victory against Fairfield when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Thunderbolts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
