Baseball Recap: Firestone Has No Trouble Against East

While Firestone put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for East. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Dragons. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won six in a row.

Nate McGuire looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Blake Harris was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landen Johnson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Firestone's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Firestone will take on Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
