Preslynn Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, Moore Haven saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Truley Osceola, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Moore Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Vero Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Vero Beach's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Moore Haven has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. It's a different story for Vero Beach, though, as they've only averaged .344. Will they be able to contain Moore Haven's hitters?
Moore Haven couldn't quite get it done against Vero Beach in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 11-8. Can the Terriers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
