Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Mount de Sales Academy, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a serious blow against Tattnall Square Academy on Friday, falling 47-14.
Despite the defeat, Mount de Sales Academy had strong showings from Zavion Deshazier, who rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and Lawton Hall, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Stratford Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.5 points per game. As for Mount de Sales Academy, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Stratford Academy against Mount de Sales Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 41-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stratford Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
