The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lighthouse Prep Academy of the 27-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lighthouse Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Madeline Hutchison, who scored 14 points. Abby Dumsday was another key contributor, scoring six points.
North County Christian found their leader in underclassman Sarita Lopez, who scored 18 points.
Lighthouse Prep Academy's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.0 points per game. As for North County Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Lighthouse Prep Academy is facing Heartland Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Heartland Christian Academy is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for North County Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Maryville Christian at 5:30 p.m. Maryville Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
