After soaring to 43 points the game before, The Lake Hornets were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 34-6 loss at the hands of Bay Springs. Lake was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-0.
Espen Campbell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bay Springs, rushing for 182 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Bay Springs also got a significant boost from Jd Page, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Bay Springs, the win was the eighth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Lake will be playing at home against Scott Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bay Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson Davis County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson Davis County is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
