Last Friday, Trinity Christian came up short against the Bears and fell 49-40. Trinity Christian has struggled against the Bears recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Prestonwood Christian fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Cardinals on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Cardinals 68-64. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Prestonwood Christian came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Cardinals are ranked 291st).
Trinity Christian dropped their record down to 3-19 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Prestonwood Christian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-6.
Things could have been worse for Trinity Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-47 loss to the Lions when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Prestonwood Christian's Londyn Oliphant, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds.
