Jac-Cen-Del is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 15-3 to South Dearborn.
Jac-Cen-Del saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cheyenne Cullen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Taylor Swinney, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Lawrenceburg waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Knights 16-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
Jayni Wesley made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that she scored this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reigha Ghiatis, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Ella Lynam was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
Lawrenceburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Jac-Cen-Del's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lawrenceburg, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
