Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roxboro Community). They blew past the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions 13-4 on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Flying Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Roxboro Community's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cash Rowney, who went 2-for-4 with one triple.

Roxboro Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Excelsior Classical Academy only posted an OBP of .406.

Roxboro Community's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Roxboro Community and Excelsior Classical Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Bulldogs see the field they'll take on Oxford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their break will end when they face Voyager Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
