Carrboro stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by South Granville at home to the tune of 64-21. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-14.
Carrboro found their leader in underclassman Summer Lee, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Lee has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Julia Spang, who scored eight points along with seven assists and five steals.
Granville Central suffered their biggest defeat since November 29, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 52-29 defeat at the hands of J.F. Webb.
Carrboro is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Granville Central, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Carrboro took their victory against Granville Central when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 70-50. With Carrboro ahead 42-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
