Durango has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Foothill Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Durango will be strutting in after a victory while Foothill will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Durango beat Canyon Springs 48-44.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Durango to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amia McKinney, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that McKinney scored 15 or more points. Amarie Riley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Foothill's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Basic.
Durango's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Durango took a serious blow against Foothill in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 48-20. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Durango was down 29-7.
