The Bristol Warriors will face off against the Collegium Charter Cougar at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Bristol's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Collegium Charter has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
On Monday, Bristol was able to grind out a solid victory over Faith Christian Academy, taking the game 6-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Brianna Slack made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bella Nieves, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Wiki Wilkos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Bristol hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Collegium Charter's offense. They came up short against Lower Moreland on Monday, falling 10-0.
Bristol's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Collegium Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Collegium Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bristol has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Collegium Charter, though, as they've been averaging only 2.5 strikeouts. Will Bristol keep running through batters, or will the Cougar buck the trend?
