Volleyball Recap: Stevens Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

While Stevens didn't have the best season last year (they finished 18-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the South San Antonio Bobcats by a score of 2-0 on Friday. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alyssia Murphy paced Stevens' offense, picking up ten kills. Murphy got some help from Gabrielle Ramon and her 22 assists. Murphy and Ramon didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Stevens has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for South San Antonio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Stevens will square off against Burbank at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South San Antonio, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on the 23rd.
