Yorba Linda won the last time they faced Foothill and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mustangs blew past the Knights 27-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Knights are ranked 171st).

Yorba Linda has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Foothill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Yorba Linda will take on rival El Toro at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Foothill is set to challenge their familiar foe Beckman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
