The Gadsden City Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hazel Green, falling 66-27. Gadsden City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Despite the loss, Gadsden City still got an impressive performance from Destiny Whiteside, who scored 14 points. Whiteside scored a full 51.9% of Gadsden City's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Gadsden City's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hazel Green, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gadsden City will take on Parker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Parker focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday. As for Hazel Green, they will be playing at home against Fayetteville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
