After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middleton, the Ridgevue Warhawks were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over Capital. This was payback for Ridgevue, who suffered a 43-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Ridgevue got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacotah Thomas out in front who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was McKenna Durrant, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Ridgevue's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Capital, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Ridgevue will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Capital will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Borah at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
