High school football rankings: Miami Northwestern, Don Bosco Prep join MaxPreps Top 25

Baylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.) moved up one spot to No. 22 in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings after winning at McCallie (Chattanooga, Tenn.) for the first time since 1996. Five-star junior running back David Gabriel-Georges led the Red Raiders to a 38-35 win in a back-and-forth contest, going for a career-high 282 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. 

Gabriel-Georges has 786 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns in five games. 

Northwestern (Miami, Fla.) and Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) were the only two newcomers to this week's MaxPreps Top 25. After beating Central (Miami) on the field for the first time since 2020, Northwestern checks in at No. 24. The Bulls shutout the Rockets in the second half and won 30-21. Five-star sophomore quarterback Neimann Lawrence, who is unbeaten as a starter, threw for two scores in leading the program to its fifth-consecutive win. 

Don Bosco Prep takes the last spot at No. 25 and are 5-0 for the first time since 2011 after beating DePaul Catholic (Wayne, N.J.) 47-15 – its worst loss since 2019. The Ironmen snapped a four-game losing streak against Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) two weeks ago with a 14-9 victory. 

Matt Logan won his 300th game as head coach for No. 5 Centennial (Corona, Calif.), leading the Huskies to a 62-20 win over Roosevelt (Eastvale, Calif.). The Inland Empire power is averaging 47.3 points per game during its four-game win streak. 

Riley Dodge has No. 13 Southlake Carroll (Southlake, Texas) playing great football, improving to 6-0 with a 63-28 win over Keller (Texas). The Dragons have outscored their first six opponents 298-57. Three-star senior quarterback Angelo Renda has thrown for 1,805 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 76.5 percent of his passes. His two favorite targets have been Ohio State pledge Brock Boyd and junior wide receiver Blake Gunter, who have combined for 68 catches for 1,175 yards and 17 scores.
