Canyon Crest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They were five  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   18-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Escondido Cougars.
  Abby White was the offensive standout of the  game as she threw for 212 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 75.8% of her passes. That's the most  passing touchdowns  she has posted since back in November of 2024.  Kim Mendez did her part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 121  receiving yards.
Canyon Crest Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Escondido, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
 Canyon Crest Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  12-7  loss against Mt. Carmel on the 13th. As for Escondido, they have also already played their next contest,  a  34-6  win against San Pasqual on the 13th.
