Softball Recap: Pearland Extends Winning Streak to Five

Pearland got themselves on the board against South Houston on Saturday, but South Houston never followed suit. They blew past the South Houston Trojans 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Oilers, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Pearland's fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Houston, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coincidentally, Pearland and South Houston will both be playing Sam Rayburn the next time they take the field. Pearland will head out to face Sam Rayburn at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, while South Houston will head out to face them at 4:00 a.m. on March 25th.
