Basketball Recap: Houston Skates Past Cordova with Ease

Houston won against Memphis Home Education Association last Friday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Houston Mustangs took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-21 win over the Cordova Wolves. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Mckenzie Percoski, who went 9 of 10 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caidyn Sanders, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 13 points.

Houston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Houston's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Cordova, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houston will take on Collierville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Houston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. Cordova has already played their next matchup (against Southwind), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
