The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trenton Catholic Academy has scored all season.
Trenton Catholic Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Saniyah Spell and Mayah Alford. Spell scored 16 points along with two steals, while Alford almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Alford has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sondjane Dourdin, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Trenton Catholic Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are 10-5 when they just don't pass the ball.
Trenton Catholic Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Immaculate Conception, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trenton Catholic Academy is on the road again on Monday and plays the Pirates at 5:15 p.m. on February 5th. Cinnaminson will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Immaculate Conception, they will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Lions are ranked third).
