Cedar and Canyon View are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Reds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Cedar will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Snow Canyon, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Reds walked away with a 7-3 win over the Warriors on Monday.

Sadie Parson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Shaylee Johnson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlin Bulloch, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Canyon View ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Emery 8-7.
The team relied heavily on Alina Sluder, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Payton Castillo, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Canyon View pushed their record up to 6-15 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cedar, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.
Canyon View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedar has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Canyon View, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Cedar's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Cedar came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon View when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Reds repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
