Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastwood). They were the clear victor by a 68-48 margin over the Hillcrest Panthers on Saturday. With that victory, the Troopers brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.
Devin Falk-Ramirez was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 15 on his way to 24 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Edward Avila, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Eastwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Despite the loss, Hillcrest still got an impressive performance from Dj Corbin, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saivon Johnson, who posted 11 points.
Eastwood pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Hillcrest, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-12.
