The Bruce Trojans lost against the Water Valley Blue Devils back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bruce suffered a tough 55-29 loss at the hands of Water Valley. It was the first time this season that Bruce let down their fans at home.
When it comes to explaining why Bruce lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jay cole Williams. Despite the final result, he rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 165 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of James Browning, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
Jaden Morgan was his usual excellent self, rushing for 247 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Morgan was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Another player making a difference was Zae Bradford, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Bruce has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Water Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Bruce will head out on the road to face off against Sebastopol at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Water Valley, they will be playing at home against Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Philadelphia is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
