Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Liberty Patriots, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 56-11 loss at the hands of the Gaels. Liberty's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Bishop Gorman was led to victory by Elija Lofton and Micah Alejado. Lofton gained 170 total yards and three touchdowns, while Alejado threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. Alejado has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Bishop Gorman, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bishop Gorman also has no future games currently scheduled.
