Softball Recap: Pickerington Central's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lancaster, Pickerington Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Newark Wildcats 19-11. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Pickerington Central let Abby Barnett and Sofie Barnett run wild. Abby got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Sofie went 4-for-5 with two runs and one triple. Those four hits gave Sofie a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Kounouzvelis, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Pickerington Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
