V Section II recap September 4, 2013
Arizona Lutheran Academy's Aaron Rosenbaum recorded the longest rushing play in V Section II this season in his game against Scottsdale Christian Academy last week. Rosenbaum ran for 84 yards on the play and finished with 111 on the day as his team bested the Eagles.
Arizona Lutheran Academy took down Scottsdale Christian Academy 81-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cameron Haag threw for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
Rosenbaum was the most successful running back in the league this week. Jesse Zwick also contributed to the rushing game with 100 yards on the ground.
Jerry Aquilar put up the best numbers through the air as Tonopah Valley topped Chandler Prep. He finished with a total of 9 completions for 166 yards and 5 touchdowns. Aquilar's favorite target this week was Tahir Porter, who caught 4 passes for 97 yards.
Brady Cook was the best wideout in the league this week as Scott Indahl's team beat Kevin Allen's team. Cook tallied 4 receptions for 120 yards. Gabe Galvan helped Arizona Lutheran Academy's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 76 yards.
He was 9-14 with 0 interceptions.
Northwest Christian and Valley Christian played the closest game in V Section II this week, with Northwest Christian eventually emerging with a 19-13 victory. Drew Inness threw for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
