The Carolina M Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Liberty Christian Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Carolina M will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Patriots are ranked 283rd).
Last Friday, Carolina M had to suffer through a rough 67-19 loss at the hands of the Colts. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Carolina M has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Liberty Christian can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They put the hurt on Wilson Christian Academy with a sharp 66-44 win. The victory was just what Liberty Christian needed coming off of a 65-44 loss in their prior match.
This is the second loss in a row for Carolina M and nudges their season record down to 5-11. As for Liberty Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Carolina M was taken down by the Patriots 66-24 in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Liberty Christian's Jakeem Bradford, who scored 34 points along with eight assists and six steals. Now that Carolina M knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
