The Roaring Fork Rams's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 58-50 victory over Cedaredge. This was payback for Roaring Fork, who suffered a 56-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Roaring Fork found their leader in underclassman Lucas Carballeira, who scored 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carballeira has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Hernandez, who scored eight points.
Cedaredge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Maxey, who scored 16 points, and Logan McIntire who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that McIntire scored 15 or more points.
Roaring Fork's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Cedaredge, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-4 record last season and are now at 2-7.
Roaring Fork will look to defend their home court on Saturday against North Fork at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully North Fork focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Cedaredge, they will head out on the road to face off against Olathe at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
