The South Davidson Wildcats had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Thomasville 49-18 on the road on Tuesday. The score was close at the half, but South Davidson pulled away in the second half with 31 points.
Kayra Hulin was a one-man wrecking crew for South Davidson as she almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Hulin pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shayna Freeze, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
South Davidson's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-17. As for Thomasville, their defeat was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-18.
South Davidson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-37 defeat vs. East Davidson on the 9th. Thomasville has also already played their next matchup, a 31-26 win against College Prep & Leadership Academy on the 8th.
