Rehobeth put the hurt on Shelby County with a sharp 40-14 win. Given Rehobeth's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Shelby County is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brayden Hardy was a one-man wrecking crew for Rehobeth as he rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Hardy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards. Another big playmaker for Rehobeth was Parker Peacock, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Rehobeth has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Shelby County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Rehobeth will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Long. Long is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Shelby County, they will take on Woodlawn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
