Basketball Recap: Grainger Skates Past Claiborne with Ease

Grainger won the last time they faced Claiborne and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Grainger Grizzlies blew past the Claiborne Bulldogs 67-26. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Grainger found their leader in freshman Brookelyn Roach, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points along with five boards and four steals. Roach is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adison Hayes, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Grainger is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Claiborne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coincidentally, Grainger and Claiborne will both be playing Volunteer the next time they take the court. Grainger will head out to face Volunteer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Claiborne will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
