The Delsea Crusaders will challenge the Gloucester Catholic Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last four games Delsea has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Delsea blew Triton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Triton got their revenge. The Crusaders fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Crusaders have suffered against the Mustangs since May 6, 2021.

Otley Makosky was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Delsea saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Grippo, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Toby Winfield also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Gloucester Catholic never let their opponents score on Saturday. They skirted past Paul VI 2-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Jude Morgan, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Paul VI off the board.
At the plate, Guy Lynam was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Noah Danza was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Delsea has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-3 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Gloucester Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
Delsea might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Gloucester Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Will the Crusaders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
