The Lakewood Ranch Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Southeast at home to the tune of 56-21. That looming 56-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lakewood Ranch yet this season.
Southeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Azharia Jones, who scored six points.
Lakewood Ranch's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Southeast, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
Lakewood Ranch will be playing in front of their home fans against the Manta Rays at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lemon Bay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Southeast, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Seminoles in Florida (the Tigers are ranked 254th, while the Seminoles are ranked 522nd).
